Are the requirements for students outside of the EU different?
Other than the usual requirements each university has, international students who are from outside the EU zone after attending Studienkolleg (preparatory course) for a year, might have to take a Feststellungsprufung. Each university has different requirements even though most of them are similar. We suggest you check on the university’s website and to make sure everything is right, contact the international office of that university. One of the most important documents to be admitted to a university program is to have a Hochschulzugangsberechtigung (HZB) (higher education entrance qualification) or equivalent.
What can you do after being rejected by the university of your choice?
Not being accepted by the university you really wanted to attend can be discouraging but keep a positive outlook nonetheless. Even if things do not turn out how you planned, you can create your university experience however you want and rejection can be tough but it prepares you for the real world.
